The lesson of 22nd June 2010

The lesson of 22nd June 2010
It’s pretty simple: the stupid shouldn’t vote.
Most of the people voting Tory aren’t rich. I wish Britain had 36% rich people, but that ain’t true. Yes, from a rich person’s POV, it makes sense to vote tory. After all, they are the party of the rich, and no rich men government will ever raise taxes on its own.
I used to joke about 2 months ago that David Cameron was running to make sure he’ll never have to pay taxes on his wife’s large estate. I see with sadness and a bitter satisfaction that I was probably right as the aptly named condem government delivers a budget that hits everyone but the rich people it’s comprised from. Go figure.
So why did people vote Tory? It’s first worth remembering some hard truths more Brits will never willingly acknowledge, partly because they lack the social and historical awareness, and partly because, let’s face it, they’re stupid. You don’t get smart people with a bad state education system, and Britain has not seen a decent education system in decades, unless you can afford to send your spawn to Eton or other expensive obedience schools for the rich and inbred.
The first of these hard truths is that people forget. The average Tory voter is not, by any stretch of the imagination, rich , or even young. The tory voter is invariably white, middle class and averagely educated with a college degree at best. Incidentally the same group with the highest racist quotient in the country.
Most of these people have lived through the 80’s, and if you grill them long enough- I like to, but I’m a horrible foreigner with more misanthropy to my name than it should be legally allowed- will admit that things weren’t well at all under Thatcher. But themselves or their parents may have enjoyed the marginal benefits of the time- like buying for cheap a squalid council townhouse the size of a shoebox, or having a mediocre office job, and that’s what they remember. It is common knowledge that the human brain has evolved an infinite capacity to forget the bad stuff, and this is what these people are doing.
It is my personal belief that at least part of the reason for the high tory voter turnout lays within racism. The fact that the tory voters and the most prominently racist strata of the society are identical is no accident. Of course, these people would not even remotely regard themselves as racist. The person who asks when interviewing a candidate who happens to be an immigrant who’s lived in the country for a decade “how do I know you won’t leave if you get offered a good job in your home country” is a racist and doesn’t know it. The lovely white middle class elderly ladies who ride the bus with me every morning and give me disapproving looks from their prim and proper faces and from under their perfectly permed white bluish coifs don’t regard themselves as racist even as they live in remote all white villages and are scandalized at the idea of their grandchildren dating anyone who’s not English, fair skinned and middle class.
The amount of immigrants, and most importantly of successful immigrants in this country has created a horrid backlash from the people who have no problem with the likes of me, as long as we are humble, invisible and taking only the dirty and low paid jobs the Brits are too good for. None of these people have a problem with an Arabic or Pakistani street cleaner or taxi driver, but they sure as hell have a problem with the likes of me.
The truth of the matter lays with the natural growth or lack thereof in Britain. Quite frankly, Brits aren’t breeding at the rate they’re supposed to do it, which means a population crisis haunts the dreams of anyone with a brain and a valid concern for the country’s future. Add to that a bad education system and the result is that there is a higher demand for highly qualified workers than Britain can fulfil on its own. While being asked to help my British born colleagues with the spelling of certain words of their own language is still amusing, it is a symptom that something’s very rotten in Britain.
The elderly and middle aged who voted Tory are already seeing the price of their foolishness and will probably cry soon in their lavender smelling immaculate handkerchiefs. The cutting of student places and increasing of tuition fees guarantees that the next generation will be uneducated and underqualified in a world where competition has already become too hard for the western countries to keep up with. The cuts of today ensure that in 15 years time Britain will cry for educated immigrants to come and fill the well paid jobs, however few of those might still exist at the time.
In the mean time, I am starting a Cameron puppet business. I have a feeling there will be a huge demand of those in a couple of months, for protesters to burn in effigy. Of course, that will probably serve no purpose but to make the idiots feel better.
The fate of Britain as it is lies now with the LibDem MPs. Of course Camoron felt the urge to tell them yesterday that they weren’t being taken for a ride. However, it is safe to say that probably even the dumbest of them (Nick Clegg by the looks of it) can already tell that they aren’t going to see double digits in an election any time soon, and the VAT increase is pretty telling. If I was stupid enough to have voted LibDem ( I’m not) I would probably slap myself in the mirror, which is, I suspect, what the LibDem voters are doing anyway.
The numbers are telling too. Yes, the LibDems have gone down 8% in popularity. However that’s 8% of the whole populus. In real numbers, those 8% are 1/3 of their votes at the last election. Which, for less than 2 months in office, is pretty dire, and as the condem cuts hit, those numbers will continue to plunge lower than Katie Price’s cleavage or Nick Clegg’s ethics.
In all this, it is interesting to look at Vince Cable’s position. I have always suspected the man to be a socialist in disguise, and his recent subversive statements prove my point. His recent admission that The LibDem VAT bomb campaign was a fraud paints an even more revealing picture of the Libdem hypocrisy than ever before- although he did good to show that the fault for the failed talks with labour lies solely on Nick Clegg.
All these little bits of info paint a picture obvious already to those of us who saw through Clegg long before he started to lick Cameron’s ass in public. So what IS Cable doing collaborating with Darth Osbourne?

The Bill Clinton Cult

There is a tendency amongst what passes for American liberals to worship Bill Clinton as the “ideal president”. It’s understandable. These people last lived well under Clinton, and after 10 years of strife and constant lowering of their standard of living, it’s natural they would have an idealized image of him.

Of course the problem with American liberals, which at best are centrist or slightly left leaning centrist from the point of view of us European pinkos, is their willful blindness.

Yes, THEY lived well. And that matters. But none of them bothers to remember that all of this came at a price.

And why is that? Because they didn’t pay the price.

Others did. My town in Romania paid the price when some nice American businessman came and bought the hosiery factory that fed half the town … only to shot it down because it made cheaper. The poor bastards in Yugoslavia bombed by American planes in 1999’s Easter night did. The poor people of Haiti sold once again into American corporation slavery paid. The list goes on.

Don’t get me wrong in any way shape or form, I don’t hate Bill Clinton. The guy had his good parts, and from all the presidents America had in generations, he was the least assholish of the lot.

It takes an unbelievable amount of naivety to believe that an American President could be anything but a shrewd politician who has already taken his heart out and sacrificed it on the altar of the Gods of Capitalism that rule the USA.

Make no mistake, no politician worth a quarter of his or her salt will have any delusions about the power of the people myth. There’s no such thing. The people of the USA are kept pacified with commodities they can’t afford in order to not realize they are mere wage slaves and puppets to the Gods of Capitalism.

And these American liberals have the same illness. I don’t quite recall any of them protesting the embargo on Iraq back under old Bill. Of course they didn’t. Innocents were dying from lack of medication and food, but that meant fuck all to the people who still had their cars and homes and jobs.

Do not get me wrong. Bill Clinton was a good president for the USA. The job of the president is to look after his people’s well being, in this case the illusion of comfort and plenitude that gets paid for by pillaging the world’s resources and screw you if you don’t like it.

The difference between Clinton and Bush the Second is minimal, but relevant: Clinton didn’t screw over his own people (too much).

When Good Old Bill took power, America was not a country anymore. It was nothing more than the heavy fist of a bunch of corporations, used to enslave and pillage the rest of the world, while its own people were being kept in the dormant state of the overfed.

Under these conditions, It is fair to say that Bill did the best he could by his people. That may make him a good president and probably a pretty decent human being, but that’s not enough.

In his defense, no American president has a chance in hell to get elected if he tells his people “you are too lazy and too greedy, your lifestyle is an illusion and your very standard of living is an undeserved burden upon the rest of the world”.

People don’t like being told they’re bad people. Even if they are.

It’s true, but that’s not the sort of truth people like to hear. Americans, and, let’s be honest, most of the people in the parts of the world where comfort has been present for the past half a century or so, do not regard themselves as being in any way privileged, but entitled.

By virtue of where they were born, they feel entitled to food, shelter, opportunities and safety. And screw everyone else.

If Bush would have provided a minimal amount of comfort to his people, few if any of them would have been batting an eyelid to his wars. They only revolted because he cut into their lifestyle.

So please, stop with the Clinton cult. Credit where it’s due, but by virtue of his job, as POTUS, Bill was the planet’s biggest pillager for 8 years, and many places on this Earth still carry the mark of his work.

Sorry folks. I’m one of the people who paid for your lifestyle, and you have done nothing to deserve it. Spare me the crocodile tears: if you’d still had what you had in the 90’s. none of you would give a flying fuck about what your revered soldiers- nothing more but criminal members of an imperialist conquest army- are doing to other people just so you can have your hamburgers , jeans and SUVs.

The real Gaza atrocity

Funny how nobody in the media mentions this:

in 2005, Israel, sick and tired of being painted as the villain for having the audacity to defend its people, initiated a bold move of unilateral disengagement: the Israeli troops completely withdrew from Gaza, the Israeli settlements were dismantled and Gaza was left alone.
Even more to it- the Israelis left behind a significant amount of technology- hydroponic farms, etc that could have been used to improve the lives of the people of Gaza.

Have a wild guess at what the people of Gaza, ruled by the terrorist organization Hamas, did about it.
As soon as the IDF jeeps left, they started to… bomb Israel. They destroyed the technology left behind because it was “Jewish technology”, and for 5 years continued to bomb the hell out of Israel’s southern cities.

Weapons- just weapons, no food, no medical supplies- were smuggled into Gaza through tunnels and used for bombing Israeli civilians and cities. So Israel, in what is legally a self defense move, decided to block the traffic of weapons into Gaza.

Apparently trying to curb Hamas’ access to weapons is an “atrocity” but nobody cares about the thousands of Israeli civilians killed by Hamas’ bombs, by their constant living in fear and terror.

Everybody is screaming about the poor people of Gaza living badly in poverty and nobody seems to wonder- “if they’re so poor, where do they have money for rockets and explosives from?”. Maybe the trees in Gaza are growing Quassam rockets?

Between 1947-1967, all of the Jews in the Arabic Peninsula were expelled from their homes, sometimes only getting away with the clothes on their backs. Israel took them in, resettled them and made sure they were able to have new lives.
Israel is a small country without oil, a sliver of desert where even weeds have to be planted and irigated to grow.

In the mean time, the Arabic countries surrounding Israel, swimming in oil money, could not care less about their Palestinian brothers. Oh, they will complain about the poor Palestinians being exploited by the horrible Jews who have the audacity to defend themselves from suicide bombers, but these countries, very willing to go to war on behalf of said Palestinains, seem incapable of taking that willingness farther to things like, I don’t know, helping their brothers improve their lives.

They send weapons and propaganda in Gaza, but no food, no medical supplies and no actual help. Why? Because thwey WANT their “brothers” to live badly, so they can point an accusing finger at Israel.
Israel who, incidentally, is still the largest aid provider to Palestine. Go figure.

Not only that, but the Palestinians who maybe got tired of being pawns in this power game face tremendous pressure and obstacles if they try to move and settle in one of the countries of their loving Arab brethren. Immigrants from Palestine, even at third generation, are denied citizenship in these countries. So much for brotherhood.
Why? Because having a mass of poor , ignorant, angry people willing to strap explosives on themselves in order to kill Jews is what these so loving Arab countries care for. That’s the real atrocity.
